CAPS Technical Assitance (TA)

NOTE: CAPS is an HIV prevention research center. We specialize in TA around HIV prevention program planning, design and evaluation. If you have other questions, they may not be answered by our TA team. Please see if any of the following answer your question.

1) I think I might have been exposed to HIV! Can you tell me if I'm at risk?

Please speak to a trained HIV/AIDS counselor who can give you a personalized answer to your question. Call the National AIDS Hotline 24 hours a day/7 days a week at 1-800-342-2437, Spanish: 1-800-344-SIDA or call your state's AIDS Hotline.

If you'd rather ask on-line, write to the trained counselors at Go Ask Alice or The Body.

2) I'm writing a paper and I need some information about HIV/AIDS.

Check out the HIV InSite Knowledge Base, with everything you need to know about HIV/AIDS from prevention to treatment to transmission to policy.

If you're interested in academic journal articles, check out the National Library of Medicine's PubMed, a searchable database of articles.

If you still have HIV prevention program or research questions, please send us a message via our online request system (METRO). Please click on "register" if you are a new user.
